One of the pavilion panels is called Career Velocity Vectors: the Excitement of Engineering and is organized by Women in Electronic Design. Holly Stump moderates a panel consisting of Christine King, who is CEO of Standard Microsystems (SMSC); Debi Coleman, Managing Partner at SmartForest Ventures; and Umor Fix, an Associate Director at Intel.
The topics to be discussed include how engineering is still one of the most exciting careers today, how to develop your career for intellectual, personal and business success. The panelists will describe their own career vectors from when they were starting out to today, and describe how to be a star on your chosen path whether business or technical and transitioning between academia and commercial enterprise.
Provisionally the panel will be on Mondya 6/6 from 3.30 to 4.30pm.
