For those of you in Europe, or thinking about going to DATE, the program is now available. DATE, Design Automation and Test Europe, is in Grenoble this year from March 18th to 22nd. Monday March 18th is tutorials and Friday March 22nd is for workshops, the conference proper is Tuesday-Thursday.

On Tuesday there are two keynote speakers. Dr Benedetto Vigna, VP of ST Microelectronics will give a presentation on Smart Systems for the Internet of Things. Professor Massoud Pedram of University of Southern California will talk on Creating a Sustainable Information and Communication Infrastructure. There is an executive track that same day for people with more of a management focus.

The focus on Wednesday wil be on High-performance Low-power Computing, and on Thursday on Electronic Technologies for Smart Cities.

The technical program of the conference consists of around 200 papers (from over 1000 submissions) spread over 57 sessions, plus 15 special sessions on hot-topics, embedded and panels. The 15 special sessions are on:
